Suma Grill D9

Oven, grill & fryer cleaner — 2L
2Lbottle size
pH >12highly alkaline
Foam spray+ extension lance

Suma Grill D9 is a heavy-duty alkaline degreaser built for periodic deep cleaning where grease has really built up — ovens, grills, salamanders and fryers. It cuts through carbonised, baked-on soil that everyday cleaners won't touch. This guide covers how to use it safely on each type of equipment.

Before you start

How to use it

Choose the method for what you're cleaning — the dilution and contact time are different for each.

Oven & grill cleaning

  1. Make sure the surface has cooled to below 80°C — it works best between 60–80°C.
  2. Spray the product on neat, straight from the bottle (a foam trigger with an extension lance gives better reach and less mist).
  3. Leave it to work for 5–30 minutes, depending on how heavily soiled the surface is.
  4. Loosen any remaining deposit with a scourer or brush.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with clean, hot water and leave to air dry.

Fryer cleaning

  1. Drain the oil and close the valve.
  2. Fill the fryer with water up to close to the normal oil level.
  3. Add Suma Grill D9 at 1L per 10L of water (a 10% solution).
  4. Turn the fryer on and bring it to a controlled boil for 15–30 minutes.
  5. Once cooled and drained, scrub any remaining residue from the walls and heating elements with a scourer or brush.
  6. Rinse twice with clean, hot water and leave to air dry.

Grill extractor cleaning

  1. Dismantle the extractor.
  2. Mix Suma Grill D9 at a minimum of 50ml per litre of hot water (a 5% solution).
  3. Leave the parts to soak for 15–60 minutes.
  4. Rinse well with clean water and leave to air dry.
